Review: The Kept Woman by Karin Slaughter

After reading Karin Slaughter's "Pretty Girls" and loving it, I was desperate to read another novel by the author. I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of The Kept Woman. Not realising it was the eighth book in the Will Trent series, I dived right in. I wasn't disappointed.

Slaughter is a very talented author. She's my kind of author. She knows how to expertly weave a crazy story with more twists and turns than a maze. I enjoy reading thrillers, but I adore a novel that takes me by surprise and delves deep into its characters. Although I hadn't read the previous novels in the series, I didn't feel out of the loop, as Slaughter summarises many of the key events that have taken place in Will Trent's life.

The story itself was absolutely bonkers! And it was so well written. I'll definitely be picking up more of Slaughter's novels in the future.
